The Award Ceremony
The award ceremony took place at the Hilton Hotel Sky Bar, where the winning wines were revealed. The event was a truly elegant affair, with the announcement of the category winners being a highlight for us.
The Competition Process
This year, 120 wineries from 17 wine regions entered the competition with more than 450 wines. Through a two-stage judging process, a professional and public jury narrowed down the selection to winners in seven categories. The jury assessed not only the harmony and uniqueness of the wines but also their character.
The ceremony concluded with a gourmet experience by Hilton’s chef, Roland Balogh, who presented dishes crafted to pair with the award-winning wines. A spectacular sabrage demonstration by sommelier Béla Vállai closed the event as he opened the first bottle of the award-winning sparkling wine with a saber.
