The menu and the wines

Starter: Foie gras in its own fat
Paired with: Egri Chardonnay Batonnage 2025. Aged on its lees, this Chardonnay has a creamy body and a freshness that stand up well to the richness of the foie gras.

Main course: Goose leg roasted on a bed of sauerkraut potatoes
Paired with: Egri Kékfrankos Superior 2023. Its lively acidity and spice balance the richness of the goose and the sourness of the sauerkraut.

Dessert: Upside-down quince cake with Muscat
Paired with: Egri Muskotály 2025. The same wine goes into the cake, so the glass and the plate share the same aroma.
