Celebrate the Thummerer Winery’s outstanding achievements at the 29th Eger Wine Region Wine Competition with an exclusive wine package! At the event, 159 wines from 29 wineries were evaluated, and our winery won 1 grand gold medal and 7 gold medals. Now you can also taste our award-winning wines with this special selection.
Our family business has been involved in viticulture and winemaking since 1984. We produce our wines, sparkling wines, and fruit spirits from the yield of our 100 hectares of own vineyards located in the Eger Wine Region. We harvest from the outstanding vineyards of Nagy-Eged, Mezey-Öreg, Áfrika, Vidra, Mészhegy in Eger, Teknőhát and Kőkötő in Noszvaj, Csókás, Juhszalagos in Novaj, and Nagyvölgy-tető in Szomolya.
Beyond the award-winning wines, Thummerer Winery’s greatest success is that it remains a family-run business. All key positions are still held by the descendants of the founder, Vilmos Thummerer. This allows the essence of the founding philosophy to live on: the work ethic of German ancestors and an almost obsessive pursuit of perfection. The result of this perfectionism is about 500 medals, awards, and honors, including two world championship gold medals – and now, you can order this wine package.
