The prestigious XXIX. Eger Wine Region Wine Competition was held on February 27, 2025, at the Hotel Villa Völgy in Eger. This renowned event brought together 29 wineries and evaluated 159 wines following the internationally recognized 100-point OIV scoring system. A total of six committees, composed of 36 expert judges, conducted the evaluation to recognize the finest wines of the region.

The competition evaluated outstanding wines in three categories: Grand Gold, Gold, and Silver medals. Thummerer Winery’s wines received the following distinctions:

Event Closing and Award Ceremony

The competition concluded with an exclusive gala dinner at Gál Tibor Fúzió, where judges and key figures of the Eger wine region gathered to reflect on the success of the event. The official award ceremony will take place at the Egri Csillag Weekend opening event, where the winning wineries will also receive prestigious grand prizes from the competition’s official sponsors.
